NDE Technician I
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist RT Level II Radiographer in establishing, posting, and monitoring radiation boundaries during radiographic operations.
- Be able to work in a radiation area after specific Radiation Safety Training (site administered)
- Must wear and know how to use radiation monitoring instruments (site administered training). Track daily, weekly and monthly radiation doses.
- Assist in the radiographic setups as required under the RT Level II Radiographer
- Perform radiation surveys of Restricted Area(s) and of radiographic exposure device
- Must be capable of lifting 75 pounds.
- Must be prepared to work occasional overtime (as required).
- During days of no radiographic operations perform tasks in other departments as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Obtain Industrial Radiographer Radiation Safety Program Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Obtain ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level I RT certification within one (1) year of hire (requires extensive on the job training and class room training site administered.)
